Celtic tried to sign Michel Bakker on loan from French master Paris Saint-Germain.
According to Sky Sports journalist Anthony Joseph, the Bhoys made a loan bid to sign the 20-year-old left-back.
PSG quickly turned down the offer. However, the door for the hoops is not completely closed and the euro giants are ready to renegotiate.

The Bhoys are actively trying to sign a new left-back this summer and have placed Bakker as a possible option.
Boli Bolingoli's career at Celtic looks as good as over after his unauthorized trip to Spain earlier this season. If the reports are to be believed, he is going to Italy to join AS Roma.
Greg Taylor currently remains the only left-back option for the club and Lennon wants to add depth and quality to that area.  The highly rated Dutch U19 international who survived the youth setup at Ajax has already made his first-team debut for PSG.
He is currently the club's third choice left-back and PSG might be ready to let him go to Celtic.
The report adds that Celtic also plans to bolster their core defensive options and add a winger.
The Bhoys made contact with Sampdoria for defense attorney Omar Colley and Philadelphia Union stopper Mark McKenzie.
