NFL Sunday Scores and Matchups Today, Week 6 | Early Slate

Final NFL Scores Today: Denver Broncos 18, at New England Patriots 12

The Denver Broncos and New England Patriots engaged in a defensive battle Sunday afternoon. Both sides played well, forcing Cam Newton and Drew Lock to throw two interceptions each. At the end of the day, it was the Broncos defense that held on for the win as they edge the Patriots for their second win on the season.

Final NFL Scores Today: Cleveland Browns  7, at Pittsburgh Steelers 38

The Pittsburgh Steelers defense came to play and that was reflected in the score today. They dominated the Cleveland Browns all day. They had four sacks and two interceptions, one of which was a pick-6. It got so bad that the Browns had to make a change, and Case Keenum took over for Baker Mayfield. Chase Claypool continued to star for the Steelers offense putting up another two TD performance. He has broken out as one of the better performing rookies in the NFL.

Final NFL Scores Today: Cincinnati Bengals 27, at Indianapolis Colts 31

Philip Rivers led the Indianapolis Colts to an improbable comeback victory. After falling behind 21-0, Rivers flipped a switch, and the Colts offense never looked back. Rivers threw for 371 yards and three touchdowns. Joe Burrow had another day with over 300 yards passing, but he failed to throw a touchdown in this one. Bengals rookie Tee Higgins also had a standout performance with 125 yards receiving.

Final NFL Scores Today: Detroit Lions 34, at Jacksonville Jaguars 16

The Detroit Lions, led by rookie back D’Andre Swift, rolled the Jacksonville Jaguars. Swift had 116 yards and two touchdowns on the ground. The passing attack was led by Kenny Golladay’s 105 yards. The Jaguars got a stand out performance from Keelan Cole, who put up 143 yards receiving, but it wasn’t enough. They remain firmly in the race for the top pick in the 2020 NFL Draft.

Final NFL Scores Today: Houston Texans 36 at Tennessee Titans 42

The Houston Texans can’t catch a break. They’ve had an absolutely brutal schedule to start the year. It seems like no matter how well they play; they just run into someone that much better. That was the case again today. The Texans got phenomenal performances from Deshaun Watson and Will Fuller, but it wasn’t enough. Derrick Henry rushed for 212 yards and two touchdowns, and Ryan Tannehill threw for 364 and four touchdowns. What is anybody supposed to do against that?

Final NFL Scores Today: Washington Football Team 19 at New York Giants 20

This game came down to the wire. The Giants took the lead with under three minutes left in the game when Mr. Irrelevant Tae Crowder scooped up a fumble and brought it back for a touchdown to take a 20-13 lead. Kyle Allen was able to lead Washington back down the field for a touchdown with just over 30 seconds left, but Ron Rivera risked it all going for two and failed.

Final NFL Scores Today: Baltimore Ravens 30 at Philadelphia Eagles 28

The Ravens dominated this game in the first half. The Eagles tailed 17-0 heading into the half with an offense that looked completely out of sorts. Doug Pederson made some adjustments, and Carson Wentz came out firing in the second half. They put up 22 points in the fourth quarter, including a touchdown with under two minutes in the game. They were unable to complete their comeback as they failed to convert the two-point conversation.

Final NFL Scores Today: Atlanta Falcons 40, at Minnesota Vikings 23

The Atlanta Falcons defense finally woke up. Interim head coach Raheem Morris had the defensive unit prepared to face Kirk Cousins and the Vikings. They were able to force three interceptions in the first half to set up a huge Falcons lead. Matt Ryan made sure they’d hold onto this lead, throwing for 371 yards and four touchdowns. Rookie Justin Jefferson stared for the Vikings putting up 166 yards and two touchdowns through the air.

Final NFL Scores Today: Chicago Bears 32 at Carolina Panthers 16

The Chicago Bears keep finding ways to win. Week in and week out, the offense lets them down, but the defense stays strong. Teddy Bridgewater was held without a touchdown and threw two interceptions on the day. Nick Foles wasn’t much better, throwing for under 200 yards and only one touchdown to one interception. The Bears may be winning ugly, but at 5-1, there’s no question they’re a contender in the NFC.

NFL Week 6 | Afternoon Slate

Final NFL Scores Today: New York Jets 0, Miami Dolphins 24

The Miami Dolphins dismantled the New York Jets on Sunday. The Joe Flacco led Jets offense was unable to put any points on the board. That’s the first time the Jets have been shutout since 2017. The Dolphins lead grew so big that Tua Tagovailoa was able to make his NFL debut. The Dolphins move into second place in the AFC East and remain a player for a playoff spot. Meanwhile, the Jets are the only winless team left in the NFL.

Final NFL Scores Today: Green Bay Packers 10, Tampa Bay Buccaneers 38

Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers shocked the Green Bay Packers on Sunday. Todd Bowles’ defense shut down Aaron Rodgers, who threw for just 160 yards and two interceptions. Ronald Jones stared for the Bucs, rushing for 113 yards and two touchdowns. Rob Gronkowski led the Bucs in receiving with 78 yards and scored his first touchdown since 2018.
