2021 NFL Draft Underclassmen Tracker: Full list of college football players leaving early
40 min read
One of the biggest elements of any college football season revolves around which players will be leaving college early as underclassmen and declaring for the NFL Draft. Below is the 2021 NFL Draft underclassmen tracker, which will highlight which college football players have already made declarations and who is considering their options leading up to the NFL Draft declaration deadline.
Tony Pauline has been reporting which college football players are considering leaving college early
Throughout the season, PFN Draft Analyst and Insider Tony Pauline has been publishing analysis and information regarding draft prospects, and we will continue to update this NFL Draft underclassmen tracker whenever we get more information.

For rumored college football declarations, please note that this is what Pauline was hearing at the time it was reported and has not been officially confirmed by the player nor the school. As with everything, especially NFL Draft prospects, situations can change. If anything does change, we will update our NFL Draft underclassmen tracker with the new information.
When is the NFL Draft declaration deadline?
The underclassmen declaration date for the 2021 NFL Draft has yet to be confirmed. However, expectations are that it will fall around January 18th, seven days after the National Championship. For the 2020 NFL Draft, the date was January 17th, with the National Championship having been played on January 10th.
How are things different in 2021?
The NCAA has granted each player another year of eligibility, adding complication to the process. Under normal rules, a player has five calendar years in which they can play up to four years of any sport. However, this new rule now means a player can play a fifth year, and their eligibility is spread across six calendar years and not five.
Therefore, heading into the 2021 NFL Draft, all players will have college eligibility remaining, essentially making them underclassmen, and will need to declare by the deadline. Additionally, NFL combine invites for senior prospects that have not yet declared will likely be delayed.
This also affects NFL scouts, who cannot interact with players with NCAA eligibility remaining. This could have an impact on the Tropical Bowl, which is traditionally held ahead of the declaration deadline. As it stands, scouts would not be able to interact with any FBS senior that had not officially declared.

What is the latest news that Tony Pauline is hearing regarding NFL Draft underclassmen? Which college football players are rumored to be leaving early and entering the 2021 NFL Draft?
On the December 30th episode of the Draft Insiders live show, Tony Pauline provided the following news and updates:
Trevon Moehrig, S, TCU: “Going to enter the draft. I believe TCU’s bowl game against Arkansas was canceled. I wouldn’t be surprised if he announces publicly within the next day or two that he is entering the draft.”
Chris Rumph, DE, Duke: “I hear that he is heavily leaning towards entering the draft.”
Jake Ferguson, TE, Wisconsin: “Jake Ferguson, the tight end, was 50-50, as I had reported a couple of weeks ago. I was told that he was telling people in his inner circle, that if he had a big bowl game then he was going to enter the draft. He was mediocre today. I still think he’s 50-50. I don’t think any decision has been made there.”
Jack Sanborn, LB, Wisconsin: “I’m told Sanborn, very likely, if not definitely going back to Wisconsin. Wants to play with his brother.”
Marlon Tuipulotu, DT, USC: “I’m told he is on the fence. He is the defensive tackle. He’s waiting for his grade from the advisory committee. I’m sure he is going to get a grade that says, “go back to school”. It’s basically he’s deciding whether going back to USC for another year is really going to elevate his draft stock. I’m told the decision is really about 50-50”
Budda Bolden, S, Miami: “I had been led to believe all along he was leaning towards entering the draft. I have heard he kind of has pulled back a little bit. There is some people that think he is 50-50, doesn’t know which way to go yet.”

Dyami Brown | WR | North Carolina | Declared for the 2021 NFL Draft | ACC | Junior | December 16 Draft Insiders podcast“Dyami Brown, another ACC player, an explosive wide receiver from North Carolina, a guy who improved his reception numbers, his receiving yards numbers, even though it was kind of a chaotic season. Spencer Brown | OT | Northern Iowa | Declared for the 2021 NFL Draft | MVFC (FCS) | RS Senior | Week 4 College Gameday Blog: With a number of FCS Conferences postponing the season until next spring, several draftable prospects have decided to bypass the delayed start of the 2020 campaign and prepare for the draft. Two such players are offensive tackle Spencer Brown and pass rusher Elerson Smith- both from Northern Iowa. I’m told Spencer Brown has looked terrific in the early going of training and is working out with Joe Staley, the six-time Pro Bowl tackle who recently retired. |
Tre Brown | CB | Oklahoma | Declared for the 2021 NFL Draft | Big 12 | Senior

I thionk I’ll get a better picture of it this weekend, but Christensen is a tremendous tackle.” |
Andre Cisco | S | Syracuse | Declared for the 2021 NFL Draft | ACC | Junior | Week 2 College Football Gameday Blog: Cisco looks like a lock to enter the 2021 NFL Draft at this point. |
Ben Cleveland | OL | Georgia | Declared for the 2021 NFL Draft | SEC | Senior
Nico Collins | WR | Michigan | Declared for the 2021 NFL Draft | Big Ten | Senior | September 23 Draft Insiders podcast: “I think Nico Collins is a bit strange. I mean I think he caught a lot of people by surprise. It looks like he’s going to opt out.” |
Zaven Collins | LB | Tulsa | Declared for the 2021 NFL Draft | AAC | Junior | November 25 Draft Insiders podcast: “He’s a smart guy, a pre-med student, who as I said, is expected to enter the draft. I’m told he has already sewn up his representation.”
November 18 Draft Insiders podcast: “One guy that is rarely spoken about but he is going to enter the draft and he is going to get conversation and discussion as a potential late first round pick is Tulsa linebacker Zaven Collins. I’m told it is a done deal that collins will enter the draft.” Week 11 College Football Gameday Blog: Only a junior, I’m told there’s about a 90% chance that Collins enters the 2021 NFL Draft. |
Samuel Cosmi | OT | Texas | Declared for the 2021 NFL Draft | Big 12 | RS Junior
Damonte Coxie | WR | Memphis | Declared for the 2021 NFL Draft | AAC | RS Senior
Aashari Crosswell | S | Arizona State | Declared for the 2021 NFL Draft | Pac-12 | Junior
Frank Darby | WR | Arizona State | Declared for the 2021 NFL Draft | Pac-12
Jaelon Darden | WR | North Texas | Declared for the 2021 NFL Draft | C-USA | Senior
Christian Darrisaw | OT | Virginia Tech | Declared for the 2021 NFL Draft | ACC | Junior | December 16 Draft Insiders podcast: “in the gameday blog, I had reported that I was being told that Christian Darrisaw will enter the draft. I confirmed that earlier this week, where he has told people that he has already chosen an agent. Virginia Tech announced today (Wednesday) that they are opting out of the bowl games, they will not be playing in the postseason… so I think it is just a matter of how soon Christian Darrisaw publicly announces that he is going to enter the draft.”
Week 15 College Football Gameday Blog: “In the lead-up to this weekend’s contest, I was told it’s about 80% the left tackle enters the draft. Earlier today, a source close to the situation told me Darrisaw will enter the draft and has chosen an agent.” Week 9 NFL Draft Stock: I graded Christian Darrisaw as a second-day selection over the summer, and the junior left tackle has not disappointed, playing steady football and showing improvement in his game. Darrisaw is a terrific pass blocker who is also very agile and effective in motion. While he needs to improve his finishing strength, Darrisaw has big upside. The feeling I get talking with people is that Darrisaw is leaning towards entering the 2021 NFL Draft after the season. |
Zach Davidson | TE | Central Missouri | Declared for the 2021 NFL Draft | MIAA (Div II) | RS Senior
Brady Davis | QB | Illisnois State | Declared for the 2021 NFL Draft | MVFC (FCS) | RS Senior
Jordan Davis | DT | Georgia | Rumored to declare | SEC | Junior | Week 6 College Football Gameday Blog: Today sources told me the plans for Davis, who has shown a lot of improvement this season, include entering the draft after the season. In fact, one source told me, “It’s a done deal,” on the matter of Davis entering the draft. Presently Davis grades as a fourth-round prospect on my board, though he has upward momentum on his side. Scouts I’ve spoken with believe he’s a late second, early third-round selection. |
Wyatt Davis | IOL | Ohio State | Originally opted out but returned to scholl for the 2020 season | Big Ten | RS Junior
Divine Deablo | DB | Virginia Tech | Declared for the 2021 NFL Draft | ACC | RS Senior
D’Antne Demery | OL | FIU | Declared for the 2021 NFL Draft | C-USA | RS Senior
Tommy Doyle | OT | Miami (OH) | Declared for the 2021 NFL Draft | MAC | RS Senior | September 23 Draft Insiders podcast: “I’m told that the Miami RedHawks coaches have told both of those players that if we play this wall they want them back and both of those players will return. Now doyle is highly considered in some areas. He got a decent grade from some scouts coming into the season. Other places think he’s more of a late round pick even a free agent, that’s where i have him. He’s a big guy he’s got an upside, he would really benefit. Rugamba is a solid player, he’s good athlete, he’s got good size, but he really needs to improve on his corner technique. I think with both those guys, especially with Rugamba, there’ll be some issues as to signing with an agent, will they allow them back into the fold? But i think you’ve got to make exceptions because the MAC had said they were canceling their season, they weren’t playing until the spring, so the guy’s got to prepare for his future if they come back to the football field in the fall like we’re like it looks like they’re going to you’ve got to make exceptions for those guys.”
Week 2 College Football Gameday Blog: Offensive tackle Tommy Doyle and cornerback Manny Rugamba of Miami (Ohio) are two MAC prospects who have already announced they’re bypassing the upcoming season to prepare for the draft. |
Kenderick Duncan Jr. | S | Georgia Southern | Rumored to declare | Sun Belt | RS Junior | December 2 Draft Insiders podcast: “Couple of weeks ago, we talked about Kenderick Duncan Jr. the safety from Georgia, who I’m told I was here at that time was gonna enter the draft. I’m told he really hasn’t made a decision yet it’s about 50-50 right now as to whether or not he’s gonna enter the draft or return to school. Won’t be a decision until long after the season is done”
November 18 Draft Insiders podcast: “Kenderick Duncan Jr. of Georgia Southers, the linebacker sized safety. I’m hearing a lot of rumblings that he’s very likely to enter the draft. Some people tell me he’s a done deal. I haven’t confirmed that yet.” |
DeVontres Dukes | WR | USF | Declared for the 2021 NFL Draft | AAC | RS Senior
Michael Dwumfor | DT | Rutgers | Declared for the 2021 NFL Draft | Big Ten | RS Senior
Sean Dykes | TE | Memphis | Returning to School | AAC | RS Senior
Brennan Eagles | WR | Texas | Declared for the 2021 NFL Draft | Big 12 | Junior
D’Wayne Eskridge | WR | Western Michigan | Declared for the 2021 NFL Draft | MAC | Senior
Caleb Farley | CB | Virginia Tech | Declared for the 2021 NFL Draft | ACC | RS Junior
Simi Fehoko | WR | Stanford | Declared for the 2021 NFL Draft | Pac-12 | Junior
Demetric Felton | RB | UCLA | Declared for the 2021 NFL Draft | Pac-12 | RS Senior
Jake Ferguson | TE | Wisconsion | Undecided | Big Ten | Junior | December 30 Draft Insiders podcast: “Jake Ferguson, the tight end, was 50-50, as I had reported a couple of weeks ago. I was told that he was telling people in his inner circle, that if he had a big bowl game then he was going to enter the draft. He was mediocre today. I still think he’s 50-50. I don’t think any decision has been made there.”
Week 16 College Football Gameday Blog: The question which now must be answered; was this the final college game for Ferguson? Presently the junior grades as a third-round pick and the number five tight end on my board. Sources close to the situation tell me no definite decision has been made, and they believe right now the odds are 50/50 as to whether or not Ferguson enters the draft or returns for his senior season. |
Tony Fields II | LB | West Virgina | Declared for the 2021 NFL Draft | Big 12 | Senior
Paris Ford | S | Pittsburgh | Declared for the 2021 NFL Draft | ACC | RS Junior | Week 3 College Football Gameday Blog: Everyone is familiar with Panther safety Paris Ford, a dynamic defensive back whom I expect will enter the 2021 draft and eventually be selected on Day 2. Ford is a hard-hitting and explosive safety who plays a physical style of football and possesses tremendous ball skills. His interception from just a few moments ago is indicative of Ford’s style; burst to the pass out of his break, fight off receivers and come away with the ball. I expect Ford to enter the draft and as mentioned earlier, he should move into the draft’s second day. |
Pat Freiermuth | TE | Penn State | Declared for the 2021 NFL Draft | Big Ten | Junior | Week 13 College Football Gameday Blog: Sources speculate that Freiermuth’s surgery is minor, but there’s no reason for the talented junior to take the field anymore this season; it makes more sense to get the injury cleaned up and prepare for the NFL Draft.
Week 11 College Football Gameday Blog: Expectations are Penn State junior Pat Freiermuth will enter the draft then battle Kyle Pitts of Florida for the top spot at the tight end position next April. While Pitts is a terrific move tight end who plays the position like a big possession receiver, Freiermuth is a little more complete and polished. |
Jake Funk | RB | Maryland | Declared for the 2021 NFL Draft | Big Ten | RS Senior
Kenneth Gainwell | RB | Memphis | Declared for the 2021 NFL Draft | AAC | RS Sophomore
Chris Garrett | EDGE | Concordia St. Paul | Declared for the 2021 NFL Draft | NSIC (Div II) | Senior
Mark Gilbert | CB | Duke | Declared for the 2021 NFL Draft | ACC | RS Senior
Danny Godlevske | IOL | Miami OH | Transferred to Oklahoma State | MAC | RS Senior
Tay Gowan | S | UCF | Declared for the 2021 NFL Draft | AAC | Senior
Ta’Quon Graham | IDL | Texas | Declared for the 2021 NFL Draft | Big 12 | Senior
Thomas Graham Jr. | CB | Oregon | Declared for the 2021 NFL Draft | Pac-12 | Senior | September 23 Draft Insiders podcast: “I’m hearing the two cornerbacks from Oregon, Thomas Graham and Deommodore Lenoir, both of whom i have fifth-round grades on, you got to watch them they may opt out” |
Olaijah Griffin | CB | USC | Rumored to declare | Pac-12 | Junior | December 9 Draft Insiders podcast “I’m told Olaijah Griffin, of USC, very likely to enter the draft.” |
Trevon Grimes | WR | Florida | Declared for the 2021 NFL Draft | SEC | Senior
Damar Hamlin | S | Pittsburgh | Declared for the 2021 NFL Draft | ACC | Senior
Mike Hampton | CB | USF | Declared for the 2021 NFL Draft | AAC | RS Senior
Adrian Hardy | WR | Louisiana Tech | Declared for the 2021 NFL Draft | C-USA | RS Senior
Javian Hawkins | RB | Louisville | Declared for the 2021 NFL Draft | ACC | RS Sophomore | November 11 Draft Insiders podcast: In answer to the question regarding other well known juniors that could making the jump to the NFL – “Another running back, Javian Hawkins, the RB for Louisville.” |
Jeremiah Haydel | WR | Texas State | Declared for the 2021 NFL Draft | Sun Belt | Senior
Justin Henderson | RB | Louisiana Tech | Declared for the 2021 NFL Draft | C-USA | RS Senior
Khalil Herbert | RB | Virginia Tech | Declared for the 2021 NFL Draft | ACC | RS Senior
Kylin Hill | RB | Mississippi State | Declared for the 2021 NFL Draft | SEC | Senior | Week 8 NFL Draft rumors and news: I’m told Kylin Hill was very vocal and outspoken about the lack of work he’s been getting as a ball carrier. In three games this year, he has 15 total carries. Against Kentucky alone, he caught 15 passes. Word is circulating that Hill may not be back with the team this year and that his career at Mississippi State is over, although that has yet to be confirmed. |
Anthony Hines III | LB | Texas A&M | Declared for the 2021 NFL Draft | SEC | Junior
Jevon Holland | S | Oregon | Declared for the 2021 NFL Draft | Pac-12 | Junior | September 23 Draft Insiders podcast: “I’m told there is no definitive word yet from Oregon’s highly rated safety Javon Holland, which i think is a good thing he should wait and see what happens. Javon Holland would benefit from another year on the college field” |
Jaycee Horn | CB | South Carolina | Declared for the 2021 NFL Draft | SEC | Junior
Chuba Hubbard | RB | Oklahoma State | Declared for the 2021 NFL Draft | Big 12 | RS Junior
Wyatt Hubert | EDGE | Kansas State | Declared for the 2021 NFL Draft | Big 12 | RS Junior
James Hudson | OT | Cincinnati | Undecided | AAC | Junior | Week 16 College Football Gameday Blog: UC has three highly rated underclassmen, including quarterback Desmond Ridder (third round), offensive tackle James Hudson (fourth round), and pass rusher Myjai Sanders (fourth round). All would benefit from another year on the college field, and another good season would improve their draft stock one to two rounds. I’m told Ridder has been very elusive about his decision. Hudson is thinking about it, as is Sanders. Of the three, it seems Sanders would be the most likely to enter. He’s an incredibly athletic pass rusher who also makes many plays in space but needs to add a bit of bulk and strength to his frame. |
Talanoa Hufanga | S | USC | Declared for the 2021 NFL Draft | Pac-12 | Junior | Week 11 College Football Gameday Blog: Sources tell me two junior safeties, Isaiah Pola-Mao and Talanoa Hufanga, are also likely to enter the draft. I stamped both as sixth-round prospects before the season. |
Creed Humphrey | IOL | Oklahoma | Declared for the 2021 NFL Draft | Big 12 | RS Junior | Week 15 College Football Gameday Blog: To the surprise of no one in the scouting community is Creed Humphrey of Oklahoma will enter the draft. Humphrey came close to entering the 2020 draft before deciding to return to the Sooners for another season. |
Caleb Huntley | RB | Ball State | Declared for the 2021 NFL Draft | MAC | Senior
Sadarius Hutcherson | IOL | South Carolina | Declared for the 2021 NFL Draft | SEC | RS Senior
Aidan Hutchinson | DE | Michigan | Returning to School | Big Ten | Junior
Josh Imatorbhebhe | WR | Illisnois | Declared for the 2021 NFL Draft | Big Ten | RS Senior
Warren Jackson | WR | Colorado State | Declared for the 2021 NFL Draft | MWC | Senior
Jerry Jacobs | CB | Arkansas | Declared for the 2021 NFL Draft | SEC | RS Senior
Brenden Jaimes | OT | Nebraska | Declared for the 2021 NFL Draft | Big Ten | Senior
Teven Jenkins | OT | Oklahoma State | Declared for the 2021 NFL Draft | Big 12 | RS Senior
Josh Jobe | CB | Alabama | Rumored to declare | SEC | Junior | Week 14 College Football Gameday Blog: Last week I was told expectations are Jobe will follow his teammate and also declare for the draft. I presently grade Jobe as a late fourth, early fifth round prospect. Scouts I’ve spoken with feel Jobe is more deserving of being an early fourth round choice and could sneak into the second day of the draft with good pre-draft workouts. |
Cade Johnson | WR | SDSU | Declared for the 2021 NFL Draft | MVFC (FCS) | RS Senior
Josh Johnson | RB | Louisiana Monroe | Declared for the 2021 NFL Draft | RS Senior
Noah Johnson | QB | USF | Declared for the 2021 NFL Draft | AAC | RS Senior
Zion Johnson | OL | Boston College | Returning to School | ACC | Senior | December 23 Draft Insiders podcast: “Somebody close to the situation told me just this weekend, that they feel that there is a very good chance that Zion Johnson goes back. In fact, this person told me that he thinks Johnson is going to go back. The reason he is going to go back is because the coaches got him to believe that if he goes back and has a good season, he could be a first-round pick.”
Week 16 College Football Gameday Blog: Two weeks ago during The Draft Insiders podcast, I reported coaches at Boston College were pushing hard for their top underclassmen to return in 2021. Tight end Hunter Long and center Alec Lindstrom were at the top of the list. As mentioned in that report, coaches were also trying to get BC seniors to use the additional year of eligibility the NCAA is extending. It may be working, as offensive lineman, Zion Johnson, a player I mentioned being targeted by coaches, is seriously considering a return to Boston College in 2021, according to sources. Week 15 College Football Gameday Blog: Boston College announced this week they will opt-out of the bowl season, so what can we expect from tight end Hunter Long? I’m told while its about 90% Long ultimately enters the draft, I was also told the Boston College coaches are making the hard push for Long as well as his teammates to return for another season. This would include all seniors who are eligible for a fifth or sixth year on the field per NCAA waiver, including offensive lineman Zion Johnson, graded as a middle-round pick. |
Shaun Jolly | CB | Appalachian State | Rumored to declare | Sun Belt | Junior | Nov 11 Draft Insiders podcast: “I’m hearing that there is a good chance Jolly of Appalachian State enters the draft.” |
Ernest Jones | LB | South Carolina | Declared for the 2021 NFL Draft | SEC | Junior
Naquan Jones | DT | Michigan State | Declared for the 2021 NFL Draft | Big Ten | RS Senior
Patrick Jones II | EDGE | Pittsburgh | Declared for the 2021 NFL Draft | Big Ten | RS Senior
Robert Jones | IOL | Middle Tennessee | Declared for the 2021 NFL Draft | C-USA | Senior
Kelvin Joseph | CB | Kentucky | Declared for the 2021 NFL Draft | SEC | RS Sophomore
D’Eriq King | QB | Miami | Returning to School | ACC | RS Senior
Brenden Knox | RB | Marshall | Declared for the 2021 NFL Draft | C-USA | RS Junior
Trey Lance | QB | North Dakota State | Declared for the 2021 NFL Draft | MVFC (FCS) | RS Sophomore | Week 5 College Football Gameday Blog: Word on the street is Lance will enter the 2021 draft and has already agreed for representation with a major agency. I’ve not been told when the public announcement will be made. Unlike others, I don’t grade Lance as a top ten prospect, more like a bottom half of round one. But he is talented and he is a quarterback, which means he’ll likely be selected early next April. |
Isaiah Likely | TE | Coastal Carolina | Expected to return to school | Sun Belt | Junior | Week 12 College Football Gameday Blog: Likely is unlikely to enter next April’s draft (see what i did there), but he’s someone who could move into the top 75 picks with a good senior season in 2021. |
Tyler Linderbaum | C | Iowa | Returning to School | Big Ten | RS Sophomore
Alec Lindstrom | C | Boston College | Expected to return to school | ACC | RS Junior
Walker Little | OT | Stanford | Declared for the 2021 NFL Draft | Pac-12 | Senior | September 23 Draft Insiders podcast: “I was told today that even if the Pac-12 kicks off in the fall, Walker Little will not opt back in as a lot of other players have. He’s in Florida training for the 2021 NFL Draft Combine.” |
Hunter Long | TE | Boston College | Declared for the 2021 NFL Draft | ACC | RS Junior | Week 15 College Football Gameday Blog: Boston College announced this week they will opt-out of the bowl season, so what can we expect from tight end Hunter Long? I’m told while its about 90% Long ultimately enters the draft, I was also told the Boston College coaches are making the hard push for Long as well as his teammates to return for another season. This would include all seniors who are eligible for a fifth or sixth year on the field per NCAA waiver, including offensive lineman Zion Johnson, graded as a middle-round pick.
November 25 Draft Insiders podcast “I’m told there is a very good chance, significantly high chance that Hunter Long, the tight end from Boston College, who a lot of people like, will enter the draft. He is on pace to graduate, really there is no real reason for him to go back for another year at Boston College… Right now it looks very likely that Hunter Long isgoing to enter the draft… I’d say it is over 90%, probablky closer to 95% from what I am hearing right now.” |
Devin Lloyd | LB | Utah | Rumored to declare | Pac-12 | RS Junior | Week 13 College Football Gameday Blog: Graded as a 5th round prospect on my draft board and the top prospect on the Utes defense, the word I’m getting is the fourth-year junior is seriously considering entering the draft. Though I’m not 100% sure Lloyd will make the jump, the feeling I get from all the chatter has me believing the chances are better than 50/50 at this point. |
Ifeanyi Maijeh | DT | Temple | Expected to transfer | AAC | RS Junior | December 16 Draft Insiders podcast: “Ifeanyi Maijeh, the three-technique tackle, who had been leaning towards entering the draft. I’m told he is likely to return to school, but he’s going to transfer out of temple and go the graduate transfer route. So Maijeh, thought about entering the draft last year, talked about entering the draft this year, fourth-year junior. Very likely to stay in school because he did not have a good season. Will be playing on the college field in 2021, but he’s not going to be playing for Temple.” |
C.J. Marable | RB | Coastal Carolina | Declared for the 2021 NFL Draft | Sun Belt | Senior
Terrace Marshall Jr. | WR | LSU | Declared for the 2021 NFL Draft | SEC | Junior | Week 6 College Football Gameday Blog: Putting aside his numbers thus far today, which include four receptions for 115 yards and 3 TD’s, Marshall continues to show he’s a complete receiver effective on underneath, crossing as well as deep routes. If he enters the draft, which I’m told is very likely, expect Marshall to land somewhere in the second round. |
Jalen Mayfield | OL | Michigan | Originally opted out but returned to scholl for the 2020 season | Big Ten | Junior
Cam McGrone | LB | Michigan | Declared for the 2021 NFL Draft | Big Ten | RS Sophomore | Week 9 College Football Gameday Blog: Despite the fact I hear there’s a good chance McGrone could enter the draft, he’s not there yet and needs a bit more work on his game. McGrone takes bad angles on occasion and gets caught up in crowds, and needs to show a bit more patience in his game |
Isaiah McKoy | WR | Kent State | Declared for the 2021 NFL Draft | MAC | Junior
Alim McNeill | IDL | NC State | Declared for the 2021 NFL Draft | ACC | Junior
Quinn Meinerz | IOL | Wisconsin Whitewater | Declared for the 2021 NFL Draft | WIAC (Div III) | Senior
Bryan Mills | CB | North Carolina Central | Declared for the 2021 NFL Draft | MEAC (FCS) | Senior
Dais Mills | QB | Stanford | Declared for the 2021 NFL Draft | Pac-12 | Senior
Andre Mintze | LB | Vanderbilt | Declared for the 2021 NFL Draft | SEC | RS Senior
Trevon Moehrig | S | TCU | Rumored to declare | Big 12 | Junior | December 30 Draft Insiders podcast: “Going to enter the draft. I believe TCU’s bowl game against Arkansas was cancelled. I wouldn’t be surprise if he announces publicly within the next day or two that he is entering the draft.”
Week 14 College Football Gameday Blog: Sources tell me the feeling in TCU is junior safety Trevon Moehrig is likely to enter April’s draft. While I’ve not heard from any sources around Moehrig, those familiar with the Horned Frogs program believe the junior is taking his game to the NFL. Besides a game-saving one-handed interception in the end zone today, Moehrig has 44 tackles and nine PBU’s to his credit this season. I presently grade the junior safety as a third-round prospect. |
Jimmy Morrissey | IOL | RS Senior | Declared for the 2021 NFL Draft | Big Ten | RS Senior
Briley Moore | TE | Illisnois | Declared for the 2021 NFL Draft | Big Ten | RS Senior
Elijah Moore | WR | Mississippi | Declared for the 2021 NFL Draft | SEC | Junior | December 16 Draft Insiders podcast: “As we reported a couple of weeks ago, he is expected to enter the draft… I’m told that Lane Kiffin is working very hard, not only to get guys like Elijah Moore to return, but to get some of the seniors to take advantage of that extra year of eligibility that is being offered by the NCAA. I think though, when all is said and done, Elijah Moore will probably enter the draft.”
Week 15 College Football Gameday Blog: The situation is the same in Mississippi, where Lane Kiffin is not only attempting to retain junior receiver Elijah Moore, but is hoping to get fifth-year senior Kenny Yeboah to return for another season. Yeboah elevated his draft stock this season and now grades as a Day 2 tight end. December 2 Draft Insiders podcast: “Elijah Moore, the receiver… multiple people tell me, hes in the draft, he’s going to enter the draft, or very likely to enter the draft. Lane Kiffin is working hard to try and re-recruit some of these guys back to Mississippi… but for all intents and purposes, what I’m being told is right now there is a better than average chance, really good chance that Elijah Moore, the receiver from Mississippi, who’s gonna be a Day 2 pick will enter the draft.” |
Israel Mukuamu | CB | South Carolina | Declared for the 2021 NFL Draft | SEC | Junior
Marcus Murphy | S | Mississippi State | Declared for the 2021 NFL Draft | SEC | Junior
Josh Myers | IOL | Ohio State | Rumored to declare | Big Ten | Junior | Week 15 College Football Gameday Blog: Sources also tell me Josh Myers of Ohio State will also enter the draft. Humphrey and Myers were graded neck and neck by scouts entering the season. Both were stamped as top 45 prospects. |
Jamie Newman | QB | Georgia | Declared for the 2021 NFL Draft | SEC | RS Senior
Greg Newsome | CB | Northwestern | Declared for the 2021 NFL Draft | Big Ten | Junior | Week 16 College Football Gameday Blog: As late as last week, I continue to hear confirmation of my report last month that Northwestern junior cornerback Greg Newsome II is giving serious consideration to entering the draft.
Week 12 NFL Draft stock report: I’m told there’s a good chance he opts for the draft after the season. Week 12 College Football Gameday Blog: I’m told Newsome is seriously considering throwing his hat into the 2021 NFL Draft. |
Daviyon Nixon | DT | Iowa | Declared for the 2021 NFL Draft | Big Ten | Junior | December 9 Draft Insiders podcast: “I’m told that Daviyon Nixon, the big defensive tackle from Iowa is expected to enter the draft. Some people feel, or the word is he has already sewn up representation.” |
Dayo Odeyingbo | EDGE | Vanderbilt | Declared for the 2021 NFL Draft | SEC | Senior
Azeez Ojulari | EDGE | Georgia | Undetermined | SEC | RS Sophomore | Week 15 College Football Gameday Blog: Georgia coaches are telling edge rusher Azeez Ojulari that he received a fifth-round grade from scouts. Truth be told, Ojulari did receive a few fifth-round grades from scouts, but that was before the season began. It was a terribly low grade and it’s disingenuous to try and make Ojulari believe he’s a fifth-round prospect.
December 9 Draft Insiders live show: “I’m told Ojulari is on the fence right now. The Georgia coaches are pushing hard to get him to return to Georgia.” Week 7 College Football Gameday Blog: Ojulari is someone I’ve gushed over since the summer, and the red-shirt sophomore has seemingly improved weekly this season. What’s the latest college football news on his draft status? I’m told Olujari is not really thinking about it right now but will go through the process when the season is over. Once he gets his draft grade back- which is likely to be a top 42 grade- people surmise he will make the jump. |
Chris Olave | WR | Ohio State | Rumored to declare | Big Ten | Junior | Week 9 College Football Gameday Blog: Considering he has Justin Fields tossing him passes and a host of talented pass catchers ahead of him on draft boards, it’s unlikely Chris Olave will ever get the credit he deserves. I believe that will be true next April as Olave should get first-round consideration but will end up in the second.
That was a terrific pass by Justin Fields but an even better catch for a touchdown by Olave. The junior is a game-breaking threat and a reliable receiver. The only ill in his game is Olave is slight of size and will struggle in press coverage at the next level. I’m told Olave’s current plans include the 2021 NFL Draft. Week 14 College Football Gameday Blog: With the incredible talent at the top of next April’s receiver class, Olave is often the forgotten man. I do believe the junior could slide into the late part of the first frame, and from I’m told, he will make himself available for the 2021 draft. Since the start of the season, the word is Olave has already settled on representation. |
Levi Onwuzurike | IDL | Washington | Declared for the 2021 NFL Draft | Pac-12 | RS Senior
Joseph Ossai | EDGE | Texas | Declared for the 2021 NFL Draft | Big 12 | Junior
Cade Otton | TE | Washington | Returning to School | Pac-12 | Junior | November 25 Draft Insiders podcast “I’m hearing Cade Otton, the tight end from Washington is very likely to enter the draft… From what I am hearing, another tight end, this one Cade Otton from Washington, he is also very likely to end the NFL Draft.” |
Jayson Oweh | DE | Penn State | Declared for the 2021 NFL Draft | Big Ten | RS Sophomore
Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah | LB | Notre Dame | Rumored to declare | Independent | RS Junior | November 25 Draft Insiders podcast “Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah of Notre Dame. I’m told, somebody told me yesterday, 100% he’s going to enter the draft. When they say it’s 100%, I like to say 80%… What I am hearing, expect him to enter the draft.” |
Micah Parsons | LB | Penn State | Declared for the 2021 NFL Draft | Big Ten | Junior
Jaret Patterson | RB | Buffalo | Declared for the 2021 NFL Draft | MAC | Junior | November 11 Draft Insiders podcast: “This is his last year. He is going to opt for the the draft. Everything I have been told points that Patterson will be in the draft”
Week 4 College Football Gameday Blog: Buffalo running back Jaret Patterson, who was planning on sitting out the spring season and entering the 2021 NFL Draft, will take the field once play resumes on November 4. I’m told this will be Patterson’s final season at UBuff, and the junior will enter next April’s draft. Week 2 College Football Gameday Blog: Though no public decision seems imminent, it’s looking more and more likely Buffalo Bulls running back Jaret Patterson will enter the draft. With the MAC postponing their season to the spring of 2021, the belief from Patterson’s camp is there’s not much value returning for another season. |
Brandon Peters | QB | Illinois | Returning to School | Big Ten | RS Senior
Jaelan Phillips | DE | Miami | Declared for the 2021 NFL Draft | ACC | RS Junior
Kenny Pickett | QB | Pittsburgh | Returning to School | ACC | Senior
Kyle Pitts | TE | Florida | Declared for the 2021 NFL Draft | SEC | Junior | Week 4 College Football Gameday Blog: Pitts also showed great route discipline, which drew the coverage in his direction, opening up opportunities for his teammates.
He’s too fast for linebackers and too big for defensive backs. I fully expect Pitts to enter the draft and turn into a top-42 selection if he plays like this all season. |
Isaiah Pola-Mao | S | USC | Rumored to declare | Pac-12 | Junior | Week 11 College Football Gameday Blog: Sources tell me two junior safeties, Isaiah Pola-Mao and Talanoa Hufanga, are also likely to enter the draft. I stamped both as sixth-round prospects before the season. |
Blake Proehl | WR | East Carolina | Declared for the 2021 NFL Draft | AAC | RS Junior
Dillon Radunz | OT | North Dakota State | Declared for the 2021 NFL Draft | MVFC (FCS) | Senior
Justus Reed | EDGE | Viginia Tech | Could declare for the 2021 NFL Draft | ACC | RS Senior | Week 4 risers and fallers: Scouts have actually given Reed a draftable grade each of the past three years in anticipation of his move to the NFL and with good reason; he’s a terrific edge rusher with excellent size, speed and strength. I envision Reed receiving an invitation to a postseason all-star game such as the Shrine Bowl, getting a combine invitation and ending up in the late part of next April’s draft. |
Monty Rice | LB | Georgia | Returning to School | SEC | Senior
Desmond Ridder | QB | Cincinnati | Undecided | AAC | Junior | Week 16 College Football Gameday Blog: UC has three highly rated underclassmen, including quarterback Desmond Ridder (third round), offensive tackle James Hudson (fourth round), and pass rusher Myjai Sanders (fourth round). |
Quincy Roche | EDGE | Miami | Declared for the 2021 NFL Draft | ACC | RS Senior
Robert Rochell | CB | Central Arkansas | Declared for the 2021 NFL Draft | SLC (FCS) | RS Senior
Gregory Rousseau | EDGE | Miami | Declared for the 2021 NFL Draft | ACC | RS Sophomore
Manny Rugamba | CB | Miami (OH) | Originally opted out but returned to scholl for the 2020 season | MAC | RS Senior | Week 4 College Football Gameday Blog: As reported during the podcast, offensive tackle Tommy Doyle and cornerback Manny Rugamba of Miami of Ohio both want to rescind their initial decisions to opt-out of the season and take the field once play resumes. I’m told their official status for this fall is expected by next Tuesday.
September 23 Draft Insiders podcast: “I’m told that the Miami Red Hawk coaches have told both of those players that if we play this wall they want them back and both of those players will return. But i think you’ve got to make exceptions because the MAC had said they were canceling their season, they weren’t playing until the spring, so the guy’s got to prepare for his future if they come back to the football field in the fall like we’re like it looks like they’re going to you’ve got to make exceptions for those guys.” |
Chris Rumph | EDGE | Duke | Declared for the 2021 NFL Draft | ACC | Junior | December 30 Draft Insiders podcast “I hear that he is heavily leaning towards entering the draft.”
December 9 Draft Insiders podcast “I’m told there is a good chance that Chris Rumph, the edge rusher from Duke, is going to enter the draft.” |
Anthony Russo | QB | Temple | Transferred to Michigan State | AAC | Graduate | December 16 Draft Insiders podcast: “Not a good situation at Temple… Anthony Russo, the fifth-year senior quarterback is taking advantage of the NCAA rule of extra eligibility, except he is transferring to Michigan State.” |
K.J. Sails | CB | USF | Declared for the 2021 NFL Draft | AAC | RS Senior
Asante Samuel Jr. | CB | Florida State | Declared for the 2021 NFL Draft | ACC | Junior
Jack Sanborn | LB | Wisconsin | Expected to return to school | Big Ten | Junior | December 30 Draft Insiders podcast: “I’m told Sanborn, very likely, if not definitely going back to Wisconsin. Wants to play with his brother” |
Myjai Sanders | EDGE | Cincinnati | Undecided | AAC | Junior | Week 16 College Football Gameday Blog: UC has three highly rated underclassmen, including quarterback Desmond Ridder (third round), offensive tackle James Hudson (fourth round), and pass rusher Myjai Sanders (fourth round). All would benefit from another year on the college field, and another good season would improve their draft stock one to two rounds. I’m told Ridder has been very elusive about his decision. Anthony Schwartz | WR | Auburn | Considering declaring for the 2021 NFL Draft | SEC | Junior | Week 15 College Football Gameday Blog: I’ve previously mentioned Schwartz is giving serious consideration to entering the draft. As of last week I’m told the junior is still on the fence and 50/50 right now as to what he’ll do next.
Week 12 College Football Gameday Blog: I’m told Schwartz will go through the process of getting a grade and opinions on where he will land should he enter the draft. Those close to the situation tell me it’s better than 50/50 Schwartz enters the draft. |

D’Ante Smith | OT | East Carolina | Declared for the 2021 NFL Draft | AAC | Senior
Elerson Smith | EDGE | Northern Iowa | Declared for the 2021 NFL Draft | MVFC (FCS) | Senior | Week 4 College Gameday Blog: With a number of FCS Conferences postponing the season until next spring, several draftable prospects have decided to bypass the delayed start of the 2020 campaign and prepare for the draft. Two such players are offensive tackle Spencer Brown and pass rusher Elerson Smith- both from Northern Iowa. I’m told Spencer Brown has looked terrific in the early going of training and is working out with Joe Staley, the six-time Pro Bowl tackle who recently retired. |
Jordan Smith | LB | UAB | Rumored to declare | C-USA | Junior | Week 5 College Football Gameday Blog: Week 3 riser linebacker Jordan Smith continues to impress. He has one tackle for loss and one sack to his credit as the first quarter closed out. I’ve mentioned several times that Smith, who’s just a junior, is leaning towards entering next April’s draft. He’s presently graded as a Day 2 pick on my board.
September 3rd Draft Insider podcast: “I am told Smith is leaning towards entering the draft, if he has a big season. I think that early game from Miami can dictate which way he is going to go. Especially if he has a big contest against the Hurricanes.” |
Shi Smith | WR | South Carolina | Declared for the 2021 NFL Draft | SEC | Senior
Charles Snowden | LB | Virginia | Declared for the 2021 NFL Draft | ACC | Senior
Amon-Ra St. Brown | WR | USC | Rumored to declare | Pac-12 | Junior | Week 11 College Football Gameday Blog: Offensive lineman Alijah Vera-Tucker initially opted out of the season to do much the same but returned once the PAC 12 announced they would play this fall. I’m told his plans still include entering the draft once the season is over, a similar plan that will be followed by receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown. |

Grant Stuard | LB | Houston | Declared for the 2021 NFL Draft | AAC | Senior
Patrick Surtain II | CB | Alabama | Rumored to declare | SEC | Junior | December 2 Draft Insiders podcast: “I’m told Patrick Surtain the cornerback is gone, he’s going to enter the draft.
Week 13 College Football Gameday Blog: I expect Surtain and Williams to enter the draft, while I’m told Schwartz is giving serious consideration to doing the same. |
Chazz Surratt | LB | North Carolina | Declared for the 2021 NFL Draft | ACC | Graduate
Sage Surratt | WR | Wake Forest | Declared for the 2021 NFL Draft | ACC | RS Junior
Ambry Thomas | CB | Michigan | Declared for the 2021 NFL Draft | Big Ten | Senior
Zac Thomas | QB | Appalachian State | Declared for the 2021 NFL Draft | Sun Belt | RS Senior
Josh Thompson | DB | Texas | Returning to School | Big 12 | Junior | Week 14 College Football Gameday Blog: Last week offensive tackle Sam Cosmi and safety Caden Sterns both announced they were opting out of the remainder of the season and opting into the 2021 NFL Draft. So who’s next for UT? Sources tell me is could be another defensive back: Josh Thompson.
Thompson is a talented defensive back who has played both cornerback and safety for Texas. He has solid size/speed numbers and large upside. Coming into the season, I graded the junior as a sixth-round prospect. |
Jalen Tolbert | WR | South Alabama | Rumored to declare | Sun Belt | Junior | Week 10 College Football Gameday Blog: The South Alabama Jaguars are struggling to stay step-for-step with undefeated Coastal Carolina as the score reads 14-3 in Carolina’s favor at the start of the second quarter. Yet Jalen Tolbert has been his usual reliable self with two receptions for 20 yards to start the game. During the previous five games, Tolbert totaled 32 receptions, 524 yards, and five touchdowns. He’s a long pass catcher with dependable hands and a solid game. Only a junior, I’m told there’s a real good chance Tolbert enters the draft at season’s end. |

There’s very few people I’ve spoke to tell me that they think he’s going to opt back in. He’s going to continue to train for the draft” |
Marlon Tuipulotu | DT | USC | Rumored to declare | Pac-12 | Junior | December 30 Draft Insiders podcast: “I’m told he is on the fence. He is the defensive tackle. He’s waiting his grade from the advisory committee. I’m sure he is going to get a grade that says, “go back to school”. It’s basically he’s deciding whether going back to USC for another year is really going to elevate his draft stock. I’m told the decision is really about 50-50.”
Week 16 College Football Gameday Blog: Sources tell me junior defensive tackle Marlon Tuipulotu, who I graded as a sixth-round prospect before the season, is expected to enter the draft. Tuipulotu is a quick three-technique type who finished with 23 tackles and 2 sacks this season. |

Jaylen Waddle | WR | Alabama | Undetermined | SEC | Junior | Week 9 NFL Draft rumors and news: Not as of yet, and it’s way too early for a decision. It’s going to be a wait-and-see proposition, as ankle injuries and receivers are not a good combination. I was informed Waddle has an insurance policy for loss of value. |

Pro Wells | TE | TCU | Declared for the 2021 NFL Draft | Big 12 | Junior | Week 13 College Football Gameday Blog: Wells is someone I graded as a PFA over the summer as he’s a big, mobile tight end with terrific speed but limited production. As a sophomore last year, Well posted 17 receptions and five TD’s and his production this season has been pedestrian considering there’s no dominant receiver on the TCU roster. I’m told Wells is seriously considering entering the 2021 NFL Draft, which would be a mistake, in my opinion. While I love his natural skills and upside, Wells must really elevate his production; otherwise, he’ll be a late-round selection. |
Brendon White | DB | Rutgers | Declared for the 2021 NFL Draft | Big Ten | Senior

Pooka Williams Jr. | RB | Kansas | Declared for the 2021 NFL Draft | Big 12 | Junior
Rodarius Williams | CB | Oklahoma State | Declared for the 2021 NFL Draft | Big 12 | RS Senior
Seth Williams | WR | Auburn | Rumored to declare | SEC | Junior | Week 13 College Football Gameday Blog: Surtain’s play this season has been inconsistent, but he was dominant against Kentucky last week. Both Williams and Schwartz have displayed progress on the field this season; Williams has become the focal point of the offense as a dependable big-bodied wideout, while Schwartz’s home-run-hitting speed offers big-play ability for the Tigers. The contrasting styles pose a challenge for Surtain.
I expect Surtain and Williams to enter the draft, while I’m told Schwartz is giving serious consideration to doing the same. |
Trill Williams | CB | Syracuse | Declared for the 2021 NFL Draft | ACC | Junior
Marco Wilson | CB | Florida | Declared for the 2021 NFL Draft | SEC | RS Junior
Zach Wilson | QB | BYU | Rumored to declare | Independent | Junior | December 23 Draft Insiders podcast: “I think it would be a major shock if he doesn’t enter the draft. If I’m going to put a percentage on it, I’m going to say it’s about 99% that he (Zach Wilson) enters the Draft. I know that his father has been doing a lot of work. His father has spoken with people, including John Dorsey,… talking about different agents. His father is laying a lot of groundwork.”
November 26 Draft Insiders podcast: “Zach Wilson, I am told he has been taking agent meetings in the past couple of weeks, so he is getting a jump on his next level decision. As we talked about, you know he was going to wait till after the season, get his draft grade, get his opinions. But I’m told he’s already started the process of speaking and interviewing agents. So I mean, there is no official word, speculatively you could expect Zach Wilson to enter the draft, primarily because he’s had such a tremendous season there’s so much talk about him being a top 12 pick. If he doesn’t enter the draft, it will be a major surprise.” Week 10 NFL Draft rumors and news: We are still very early in the process, and there are no guarantees Zach Wilson enters the draft. As I said a few weeks ago, he will go through the process once the season is over. That being said, there are a lot of teams who like Wilson. October 21 Draft Insiders podcast: “from what I’m told you know he hasn’t there hasn’t been any decision |
Nashon Wright | CB | Oregon State | Rumored to declare | Pac-12 | Junior | December 23 Draft Insiders podcast: “I’m hearing there is a real good chance that Nashon Wright, the corner back for Oregon State is going to enter the draft… I’m hearing that Nashon Wright, a guy to keep on the radar screen, as a junior who is going to potentially enter the draft.” |
Kenny Yeboah | TE | Mississippi | Declared for the 2021 NFL Draft | SEC | Senior | Week 15 College Football Gameday Blog: The situation is the same in Mississippi, where Lane Kiffin is not only attempting to retain junior receiver Elijah Moore, but is hoping to get fifth-year senior Kenny Yeboah to return for another season. Yeboah elevated his draft stock this season and now grades as a Day 2 tight end. |
Zane Zandier | LB | Virginia | Declared for the 2021 NFL Draft | ACC | Senior |
