According to The Guardian Liverpool want the following new deals for the midfield duo Fabinho and Georginio Wijnaldum Deals give the roles they have both played since joining and in the team's impressive start to the 2020-21 English Premier League.
Jürgen Klopp's team is currently in second place due to a smaller goal difference after seven wins, three draws and one goal. The defeat against leaders Tottenham Hotspur and the Brazilian and his Dutch team-mate were of decisive importance for their form.
Fabinho has played nine league games this season, most of which acted as temporary central defender. Injuries to Virgil van Dijk and Joe Gomez.
With the action that was excluded for the first time due to a long-term knock, Liverpool found perfect cover with the 27-year-old, and he still didn't do anything wrong. While he still has around two and a half years on his current contract, the defending champions of the Premier League want to give him an extension of two or three years with an improved raise.
With the new contract, the Brazil international will pick the players right among the top earners at Liverpool and he definitely deserves to be at the top of the majority of the 95 appearances he has made since arriving .
Wijnaldum has about six months left on his current contract after several talks between the two parties hit the wall, but the club hopes to resume talks with him in the next few weeks.
The 30-year-old is still unsure of what role he will play at the club despite having played in all of his 11 league games so far this season and it will be interesting to see if Liverpool can meet their demands .  With over 200 games since joining Newcastle United in the summer of 2016, Wijnaldum has established himself as one of the team's key players and it will be a major blow to lose him for nothing next summer.
