A variety of Premier League clubs including Liverpool and Manchester United are showing big Interest in signing Villarreal winger Samu Chukwueze, according to reports from The Mirror .
The 21-year-old is widely recognized as one of the top young talent in the league and several Premier League clubs are watching him closely.
Chelsea, Leicester City, Everton and Wolverhampton Wanderers are also in search of the exciting winger who has a € 80 million release clause in his contract.
Interest from Real Madrid
The above Premier League clubs are likely to face stiff competition from Real Madrid. According to the Spanish publication La Razon Los Blancos want to sign the Villarreal duo Chukwueze and his teammate Pau Torres.
The youngster has scored one goal and provided two assists so far. Despite being a promising talent, the winger hasn't done enough to warrant such a high price.
Madrid are only willing to pay 65 million euros for the pair and offer a player as a partial exchange to reduce the asking price. However, Villarreal is not impressed with the proposal and would only sell the duo if the supply is significantly high.
Manchester United pushes for a move
Of all interested Premier League clubs, Manchester United is ready Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is determined to improve his attack options.
Der Spiegel suggests that United would focus their efforts on landing the Nigerian winger if they didn't land Borussia Dortmund's Jadon Sancho again.
As you can see, he's just a backup option for United, but it's hard to believe the Red Devils would be willing to pay a premium price for him if other better options – Sandro Tonali and ] Ansu Fati (affiliated with United this summer) – are available before them.
Liverpool in the mix … or is it?
Premier League champions Liverpool are also linked with a move for the youngster, but do they need him?
The Reds signed Diogo Jota this summer to bolster their attacking midfield options, while they have Xherdan Shaqiri and Takumi Minamino and the fabled trio of Sadio Mane, Roberto Firmino and Mohamed Salah. Adding another winger who has not yet been proven makes no sense.
In addition, the Liverpool defense needs immediate surgery as the Reds miss two key players in Virgil van Dijk and Joe Gomez, both of whom are long-term absent. Chukwueze is a talented winger and the Premier League clubs will only show interest in him in a few months if he continues to perform well.
