According to Charlie Eccleshare of The Athletic Davinson Sanchez, Tottenham Hotspur center-back Now in a position where he would be open to a move next month if the right opportunity presents itself and English Premier League minutes remain a rarity.
The Colombian international came to Spurs from Ajax for £ 42 million in the summer of 2017, making him the record player at the time.
Sanchez has since played 88 games in the top division, five of them this season.
He found himself in the pecking order behind Eric Dier and Toby Alderweireld, as head coach Jose Mourinho held on to the duo as first choice duo center-back.
Sanchez has suffered form loss since the Portuguese arrived and it is not surprising that he is dying to leave in search of regular play opportunities.
However, it is unlikely that will exit in the next month as Tottenham needs a replacement.
It has always proven herculean to attract high profile players during the January transfer window and Spurs won't be interested in losing it in the middle of the season.
While Jan Vertonghen's departure should give Sanchez a chance to establish himself at Tottenham XI, the arrival of Joe Rodon from Swansea City seems to threaten his place on the team.
It was not the Welshman Sanchez was able to play in the group stage of this year's Europa League season after the squad list had been submitted. This gave Sanchez the opportunity to play five of the six games.
However, the 24-year-old didn't impress and didn't do enough to force his way back into the starting XI.
While its pace is useful, it remains error-prone and has yet to live up to high expectations that saw Spurs splash £ 42 million on his signature.
Sanchez will have to prove himself again by the end of the campaign, and it will be interesting to see if he stays open to an exit next summer.
